Elementary Musicianship & Beginning Ensemble Teaching Artist

Anne Rardin, Ph.D.

An active educator with a Doctorate in Music Education from the University of Southern California (USC), Dr. M. Anne Rardin has over 15 years of teaching experience spanning three states (NY, TX, and CA) and every level of public and private school. Since coming to CA she has taught as a string specialist for the Harmony Project; elementary general music, middle school choir, and high school orchestra for the Montebello Unified School District; music education classes for the USC and California State University, Northridge; middle school orchestra for Harvard Westlake School; and early childhood music for the Los Angeles Music and Art School.  She has also trained pre-service teachers and teaching artists for USC, the Harmony Project, LA Philharmonic, Southwest Chamber Music, and Education through Music LA.  In addition, Dr. Rardin adores performing as a Baroque violinist and performs regularly with the Musica Angelica Baroque Orchestra, Bach Collegium San Diego, Con Gioa, the Bach Society, and the Corona Del Mar Baroque Festival. She is also a member of the faculty ensemble Concordia Clarimontis at Claremont Graduate University, where she directs the Collegium Musicum ensemble and teaches Baroque violin and viola.
